Family Experiences
Enough to keep children happily occupied, and enough space to let them be gloriously bored.
Masinagudi is a joy with children, largely because it asks so little organisation of you. The best parts are the unscheduled ones — a garden to run around, a campfire at dusk, animals spotted from a jeep, and a river valley to drive out to when the afternoon cools.
For Younger Children
Garden and lawn space at Aranyasun, a play area at both properties, and short drives rather than long safari days. A two-hour safari is about the limit before the novelty runs out.
For Older Children
Give them the binoculars and a bird list. Theppakadu, the Moyar valley and the drive up toward Ooty all hold attention.
A Few Practical Things
Pack insect repellent, warm layers for the evenings and a torch each — children love having their own. We do ask that little ones stay with an adult outdoors after dark: the boundary between our garden and the forest is drawn on a map rather than on the ground.
Meals
Both kitchens are small and cook to order, which is good news if you are travelling with a picky eater. Tell us in advance about allergies, favourites and timings and we will look after everyone properly.
