Our most popular room, and a lovely place to wake up: around 200 sq. ft. finished in warm wood, with a king-size mattress and a mini fridge for the fruit and water you will inevitably collect. Ideal for two guests, with an extra cot available on request for an additional guest.
A generous room of roughly 340 sq. ft. with a further 140 sq. ft. loft above, built in the spirit of a timber cabin. Children tend to claim the loft within about a minute of arriving, and couples travelling together appreciate having a little space of their own.

Labdhi Resorts is in Masinagudi, in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, with an easy drive to the Mudumalai safari points. Most guests arrive from Bangalore via Mysore and Bandipur, or from Coimbatore via Ooty — and the highways through the reserves close to traffic at night, so we plan arrivals around that.
Safari is run by the forest department, not by any resort, so timings, routes and vehicles shift with the season. What we can do is keep an eye on the current position, have tea into you early, and see you off in good time — that combination does most of the work.

Often, yes. Birds are active in the grounds from first light, and deer and other wildlife are ordinary sightings on the treeline rather than an event. It is not a substitute for a safari, but it is a lovely way to start or end a day.
