Ways to Spend Your Days Here
Five packages built from what the properties actually do — a family weekend, a wildlife two-night, a group retreat, a Nilgiris tour and a slow stay.
Five Shapes of Stay, Not Five Price Tags
Each package is simply a nice way of arranging the days, rather than a discount bundle. Everything listed as included is something we already do gladly; anything paid directly to the forest department sits under "not included", so there are no surprises later.
Rates move with the season, so we quote against your dates rather than publish a figure. Tell us which package appeals and how many of you are coming, and we will come straight back to you.

Around the Nilgiris
Masinagudi makes a lovely base, and the district around it is the reason many guests add a third night. Twelve places and activities within a day's reach, roughly in order of how far you will drive.
Nilgiri Mountain Railway
The metre-gauge rack railway between Mettupalayam and Ooty, a UNESCO World Heritage listing. Slow, steep and worth doing one leg of rather than the round trip.
Doddabetta Peak
The highest point in the Nilgiris, above Ooty. Clear early mornings give the whole range; by midday it is often cloud.
Pykara Lake & Falls
Lake, shola forest and falls on the Ooty side. The falls depend entirely on recent rain — ask before making the drive.
Avalanche & Emerald Lake
Quieter high-country lakes in shola and grassland, well beyond the main tourist route. Access can be restricted — check locally.
Tea Estate & Factory Visit
Working estates and factories around Coonoor, where you can follow leaf through to cup. Aranyasun's family have generations of Nilgiri tea planting behind them.
Sim's Park, Coonoor
A terraced botanical garden on a slope, less crowded than Ooty's and better for plants.
Dolphin's Nose & Lamb's Rock
Escarpment viewpoints above the Coonoor valley, looking down toward the plains.
Wenlock Downs
Open rolling grassland and shola pockets on the Ooty–Gudalur side — the classic Nilgiri downs landscape.
Mukurthi National Park
High-altitude grassland and shola, and home to the Nilgiri tahr. Entry is regulated by the forest department and requires permission.
Government Rose Garden, Ooty
One of the largest rose collections in the country, terraced above the town.
Moyar River Valley
A dry, dramatic gorge landscape below Masinagudi — about 7 km from Aranyasun. Raptors overhead and a complete change of terrain from the forest above.
Kalhatti Falls
On the steep Masinagudi–Ooty ghat road. Flow depends on rainfall; best combined with the drive rather than treated as a destination.
Questions About Packages
Do the packages have fixed prices?
No. Rates here are seasonal and depend on room type and length of stay, so we quote against your dates rather than publish a figure. Send an enquiry and we will come back the same day.
Can a package be changed?
Yes. These are starting points. Tell us what you want more or less of — most guests adjust the safari mornings or add a night.
Are safari tickets included in any package?
No. Safari is operated by the forest department, tickets are paid to them, and no resort can guarantee a seat. We help with timing and getting you there early.
Is there a group minimum?
The group and corporate retreat is written for roughly 8 to 30 guests, but the exact minimum, maximum and whether both properties can be combined all need confirming with the properties.
Can we book a package for a single night?
Most of these assume two nights or more. One night in Masinagudi means a full day of driving for a single evening — we would rather tell you that than sell it.

Tell Us Which One Fits
Send your dates, the number of you and the package that looks closest. We will confirm availability and quote against it.
